Class Descriptions Below:  

As with all fitness activities, your experience will depend on pre-existing health conditions. Everyone beginning a  pole or aerial fitness program should be aware that not every body responds well. Inversions can have negative effects especially those with high blood pressure, glaucoma, bone weakness, extreme obesity, or heart disorders. Make sure that you check with your health practitioner before commencing ANY exercise program, especially ones as new and different as Pole & Aerial Fitness.

Our Studio is a Female only environment, sorry no men allowed.  We find most women are most comfortable in comfy workout attire & that is what we wear for all our classes. See suggestions for what type of workout clothes work best for the different classes below. The only exception some women taking our 6 Wk. Pole Course choose to dress up with our selection of costumes & corsets for their final class party (class #6).  This is optional & not required, just for fun for those who want to participate. If under 18 yrs. old & registering for one of our Pole or Aerial Classes you must have parent register & sign release form.

Pole Class Attire Any comfortable form fitting clothes that fit snug on your body.  Shorts or a skort are highly recommended as they work well by letting your skin grip, T-shirt, tank top or sports bra.  Avoid clothes with belts, & buckles that can scratch pole.  Pole work will be done in our barefeet but you are welcome to bring your heels & use them if you like.  Most importantly do not moisturize or use lotions on your body the day of your Pole Class!  We don't want you to slip off the pole!  Also, belts & jewelry (rings, bracelets, watches & belly jewelry) are prohibited on the pole as they will scratch and ruin the poles surface.

     

PRIVATE POLE LESSONS:  These lessons provide confidential, one-on-one instruction in the privacy of our Studio.  Instruction is tailored to meet your individual needs, interest, and fitness level.  Contact us for more information and availability.  $45.00 per hour for 1 person ~ $70 per hour for 2 persons  (inquire about rates for small group lessons).  If under 18 yrs. must have parent register & sign release form.

Drop-In Beginner Pole Classes:  If you’re keen to learn the art of pole dance as soon as possible but can't commit to a 6 week course then our Drop-In Classes are ideal solution.  However, if you would rather pick up pole dancing skills and boost your physical fitness at a steadier rate, we recommend one of our courses. We know it's hard to commit to 4 or 6 week sessions so we have added Pole Drop-In Classes.  These are one time classes.  Class is 60 minutes.  We must receive payment to reserve your spot 48 hours prior to the class. * No Nudity in any of our classes! Drop-In Pole 101 (Beginner) Class:  This class is for women who have never pole danced before, or who want to go over the basics again.  In this Drop-In class we will start with a yoga/pilates workout & then move onto pole & aerobic work. Pole 101 (Beginner) 6 Week Course:  $120 NOW ONLY $100!  Class is 60 minutes held once a week for 6 weeks.  The Beginners 101 Course is for women who have never pole danced before, or who want to go over the basics again.  It's not uncommon for our students to take  courses more than once or even 2 or 3 times because they had so much fun!  In the 6 weeks spent together classes will start with a yoga/pilates workout & then move onto pole & aerobic work. You will practice holding your weight & balance, proper hand position, learn basic spins, swings, creating momentum to spin, transitions and floor work and learn a routine.  Bring a camera to the final class if you'd like to take some pictures of yourself doing your favorite Pole moves!  There will be lots of Kodak moments!  Take sexy picture for your special someone!!!  Our final class is a huge hit amongst our Students!  * No Nudity in any of our classes!  If under 18 yrs. must have parent register & sign release form.  View Calendar Here for dates & times.  To register click here

Kangoo Jumps


Jumpin' Jam Rebounding Cardio Class:   We are thrilled to be one of the first to offer this super fun & amazing rebounding cardio workout to Pittsburgh!!!  This class is held once a month.  Participants can literally bounce around like Kangaroos with the use of our rebounding jump boots. These boots are very stable & easy to use!  Our class is similar to a rebounding class using mini trampolines but instead imagine the trampoline attached to your feet allowing you the freedom to move around the room & so much more!  High impact exercises like running or jumping are effortless and easy on the joints, making it the sport of choice for many fitness enthusiasts. The boots are very versatile, and can be used on just about any surface.

Burn 25-percent more calories than doing a normal workout. It’s perfect for a full body low-impact rebounding cardio workout, which includes stationary group aerobic exercise.  Each gentle bounce you do, sixty trillion body cells are pitted against the earth's gravitational pull. This interaction strengthens every cell in the body while reducing strain on the muscles and joints. The result is better health with less exertion.

Our student says it reminds them of a mix of popular classes like Zumba & Hip Hop but with a bounce & best of all it's a whole lot of FUN!  This class is perfect for all ages and levels!  Participants can go at their own pace by curtailing the workout to fit their goals. The class concludes with strength conditioning exercises.  Drop-In 60 min. class is $20 & includes boot rental. If you own your own pair of Rebounding boots bring them with you.  If not no worries we will lend you a pair at no charge.  Limited Boot sizes available so reserve your space early to be assured we have a pair in your size.  Since you will be bouncing wear a good supportive bra & thick knee high socks are a requirement.  Also bring a water & a towel you will most definitely be sweating!!!  This is a cardio workout like no other! 

SMALL:  Woman’s Sizes 4, 5, 6  MEDIUM:  Woman’s Sizes 7, 8, 9  LARGE:  Women’s Sizes 10, 11, 12  We own several pair of Rebounding Boots & they are provided to all students at no additional fee if you don't own a pair.  Space available in class is based on shoe sizes available so be sure to give us your shoe size when registering for class if you need to borrow a pair.

Hula HoopFit

Warning: HULA HOOPING IS ADDICTIVE, FUN AND IS A GREAT WAY TO KEEP FIT!!!  Our Hula Hoop Aerobics Class is a 60 min. class that primarily targets your middle.  All ages welcome!  With circular trunk movements, it directly works abdominal muscles, hips and waistlines.  It's a great ab, leg & arm workout!   You'll learn cardio moves while hooping and how to dance with your Hoop.  As a result, class participants gain both a cardio and strength workout.  In fact, vigorous Hula Hooping can burn as many calories as running an eight-minute mile or high impact aerobic class. In addition, Hula Hooping promotes correct body alignment from the circular motions and proper posture in the upper body routines.  Hoops are provided for all students and also available for purchase so you can practice at home. To purchase a Hoop go to our Merchandise page.  Hoop Classes are one time Drop-In Classes. 5 Students per class, so reserve your spot early.  *Note:  We use Adult Fitness Weighted Hoops not at all like Kid Hula Hoops you find at the stores.  Adult Hoops are much easier because they are made for Adults.

Here's your chance to sculpt and tone while having fun in the air.  Aerials are used in the famous Cirque Aerial Acts.  Our classes require no experience and are great full body workouts.  Gain lean muscle without lifting weights, except your own, using Aerial Fabrics & Hoops.  Sculpt, tone, stretch and lengthen! You will learn how to move your body through space in ways you never imagined, while developing core strength and flexibility. Join the hottest new fitness programs and ... Aerial Fitness Attire: For aerial work, cover your skin as much as possible to protect against abrasion.  Wear snug form fitting clothing that covers the knees, back and shoulders.  Leggins, tights or yoga pants & t-shirt or long sleeve shirt (cover your armpits) & please use deodorant.  Avoid clothes with belts & buckles that can catch on silk.  Please do not wear any jewelry (rings, watches, bracelets, dangling earrings, necklaces, etc...) that can get caught on silks as well.  Do not use lotions or oils on day of class.


Aerial Yoga/Cocooning (PoleAerials):   PoleAerials™ our fun version of Aerial Yoga/Cocooning incorporates yoga, pilates & dance moves on Aerial Silks.  The fabric aerial silk is hung close to the floor & pole so that students can use these as props to either partially or fully support the weight of their body. Many Aerial Yoga poses are designed to help the student better understand the purpose of traditional Yoga poses.  Come & try the Warrior, Reclining Hero & other classic yoga moves as well as our famous signature move called the PoleAerial™ Crunch.  Aerial Yoga is designed to increase one's overall health and physical agility while having fun & creating beauty. Swinging in a hammock adds an entirely new dimension to one’s yoga practice. This fun swinging element, as well as the zero-compression inversions is what makes this style of yoga revolutionary.  We have 6 Aerial Silks so class sizes will be limited and on a first come basis.  Sign up early to be assured a spot!  If you love the Pole, Pilates &/or Yoga then you will love PoleAerials™.  We will also have Aerial Mom & Daughter workshops too!  What to wear? A tight fitting top with sports bra and leggings or yoga pants. No jewelry, zippers or rivets please. Long hair tied back. Back of the knees & arm pits should be covered. Aerial Fun Drop-In Class:  Aerial Silks have been used in the famous Cirque Aerial Acts & singer Pink's performance at the Grammy's.  You'll love showing off your arms, abs and butt after these great classes! Drop-In Combo Class Aerial Yoga & Pole:  This class is a 60 minute combo class of Aerial Yoga & Pole.  If you like to Pole then you will love this class!  First half of class we will be using the Aerial Hammocks, you will learn stretches, inversions, poses and more. After Aerials we will move onto the Pole for a fabulous workout.  This class is so much fun you won't even realize that you are working out!  It is suggested you have taken at least one Drop-In Beg. Pole 101 Class.  Please wear your Yoga/leggins for Aerials & then bring shorts to change into for Pole.
